Do you prefer your anime subbed or dubbed.

Me I'd rather have it dubbed as long as its decent. I have never been a fan of reading subtitles because it makes me feal uneasy when I might be missing some action onscreen.

that means you're just slow at reading :P

I hate dubs ... especially English ones. The only good dubs imo are Italian ones, they just know how to do their work

No, I read rather fast, but theres always this fealing of uneasiness. Most likely because I have become used to dubs due to watching a lot of anime on TV.

Subs.
I can't stand dubbed anime for the simple fact that it ruins the true feel of the anime in its originality in my opinion, and I don't mind reading & watching at the same time, I seem to have no problem with missing a split-second of 'action'.

Subs for a few reasons:

The Japanese Seiyuu sound more natural than the English ones. English voice actors never sound right to me and put me off.

When dubbing an anime they cut out a lot of dialog due to the context in the Japanese language and how it is translated into English. In some cases that makes you miss parts of the story and even sometimes very important and significant parts.

Also in dubbing anime the cut out scenes or censor them. Sometimes edit parts with darker colour or cover some things up by drawing things in them selfs.

So I prefer subs cause they have the full story, uncensored, uncut and don't sound like a person with a pineapple up their ass.

Well, about censored stuff ... hope you know that even some jap. TV networks censor some parts on their own.
I noticed that with the newest anime Strike Witches ... you can find some TV-rips with slightly censored some too ecchi parts.

As most people here, i can't stand most of the dubs! It's just kinda annoying to hear them speak in another language actually. But on the other hand, it really kinda depends on how they dub it. If they get some really talented voice actors, then i may actually enjoy it. For example i watched Howls Moving Castle in 3 different languages. (Japanese, spanish and french)....I actually loved the french version a lot.

Couldn't care less for a show that insinuates pedophilia but point taken on that. Even though, no show be anime or otherwise should show a girl (or boy) that young like that, things like that give the wrong idea =/

Subs all the way, there's something special about reading subtitles whilst following the action.

Hmmm, I would have to say subs, dubs are ok but I like subs better.

With the exception of a few anime, I perfer subtitles. I really like the voice acting on Hellsing, Ghost in the Shell and Goldenboy.
