Battlefield 2142

Ok this was one of the games I had been waiting for release for quite sometime now, and one of the reasons I didn't get Battlefield 2 in the first place. And it was finally released a week or two ago and I got it in the morning of it's release as soon as the shops opened!

What made me like this game was the fact it was a large scale FPS was game set in the future. More customisable with a new game mode called 'Titan' which makes it more interested than your boring BF2 conquest modes. Titan mode is where both sides have their own Titan (a large troop transport ship to supply and support battles in the front line aka mother ship) and you have to take control of missile silos (anti titan missiles) to take your enemies titan shield down and essientially destroy their hull. Alteritively after you destroy the titans shields you can board the titan and destroy the core after you destroy 4 control panels that give you access to the core. So as you can tell it gives more room for team work, tactics and good leadership for squad leaders and the commader.

Basically a lot of fun, if anyone else happens to play it please say then we can maybe play together or something.

That sounds awesome. I was really wondering if this game was any good when i saw it all over EB. Ive been thinking of getting it, but i might just wait for Quake Wars instead. But yea teamwork is the only way to go. More satisfaction than individual gain

I tells ya it is good. With every rank you get 1 unlock, and the unlock tree makes you think more of the path of your soldier as getting rank ups gets harder as you get higher obviously. Kinda simulates a RPG/MMORPG element with character developement.

And there are already cheats and hackers about which pisses me off and any other honest players.

I probally will avoid Quake games, they are too much of frag-fests for me, I like tactical FPS games. Quake = Rocket to ground of enemy = pwned

Haha yea ill admit that Quake games dont provide the most tactical forms of gameplay. I just like to use it to help sharpen my FPS skills. But with that in mind i think Quake Wars might end up being a little um, shallow? I mean Quake4 is basically like this:

Q4 = Q3 + Q2

Its got the singleplayer of 2, and multiplayer of 3. I guess i should look into BF2142. Ill let ya know if i manage to get it. Ill probably wait til the price goes down... LOL im a cheapo >_>

Haha my best experience with cheats was when everyone switched to one team and left the cheater by himself on the other team. PWNED!! Now THATS teamwork =)

Nooo!!!!!! I bought The Game And It Sucks LoL JKJK Well atcually after I installed the game I didn't meet the requirement so I got mad... And I soo wanted to play it... right now its just sittin on my table waiting for a new computer or the requirement parts...

Played it....didn't really like it though...kinda like company of heroes....only you're the soldier now..lol...I like Dawn of War dark Crusader better...=/...then again that is only what I think...v.v

I have reached Brigadier General rank, now highest you are able to reach since the next few ranks about that are limited to only a certain amount of people. There is also an expansion, Northern Strike to be released sometime in March which will be great.

Gene, battlefield games are different from other FPS games not because it's a large scale war game but because it's a large scale team based game. You can't really do well in a huge server if you act alone, to be in a squad, or to lead or command your army/squad. To give tact orders and for your soldiers to follow them. To be healed, revived, resupplied by comrades whilst underfire is an amazing thing. ^_^ I just like 2142 as it is a futuristic game.

Also I had Dark Crusade on realse date, I am a big 40k fan, used to play the tabletop game and I was a Necron player. Since DC had the Necrons featured I had to get it. =D

nice o_o;...anyway I don't really play battlefield cause the main reason is my connection sux to the max plus I kinda crack the game so everytime if I play the game while online....the game will hang...=__=;

and wow...nice you can use the Necrons..o_o;...I tried to use them too....but they are too slow for me....x_X...defense = super
speed = DOWN the drain..lol I like using the Tau better =O...or how u spell it...>>;...sneak attack hehe

well ive been playing this game for the past week since i picked it up cheap off EB and its pretty fun but it hasnt really been that great with the bots. hopefully once i download the patch and get online it'll be more fun

though i might be buying quake wars soon so that might keep me busy xD
